View E-Way (EQM) Data<How to Upload a Project to EQM>
After you upload a project to EQM you will have the ability to see the some of the EQM data for your QuoteFast project (not all EQM data at this time). After the EQM upload you will see the E-Way Quote Data button in the upper-right corner. Initially it will be red in color meaning that the data is being processed by EQM or that it does not match the data that is in QuoteFast.
Keep in mind, it may take a few moments (depending upon the number of lines in the QuoteFast project) for the EQM synchronization to complete. Typically the synchronization time is under 30 seconds. If you switch back and forth among projects or log into QuoteFast and see the EQM button green it means that the data in EQM matches exactly in item, price and quantity to the items you have in the QuoteFast project.
Alternately, you can click the E-Way Quote Data button at any time to see the EQM data as it is compared to the QuoteFast project. Opening the EQM data screen will show some of the EQM details, with the main component being the actual product data in the middle grid:
A. Special pricing indicator. Initially will display SPD Required. Once your EQM special pricing request is approved it will update the QuoteFast EQM data screen to SPD Approved. B. Shows the list price and your distributor net price from EQM. C. Quote margin. You can change this from the default value for the final quote to your customer. D. This is the final quoted price you will send to your customer. E. Set the validity date and if the margin is for this quote only or specifically for this customer and future quotes. F. Release the quoted price to customer.
If there are any differences between QuoteFast and E-Way data you will see a red data button and a warning message in the details grid.
Warning Messages
Quantity Mismatch. In this example, a new item (HU361) was added to the QuoteFast project after the original upload (was three items now it has four items) and therefore the returned EQM data will show a red button and warning message until it is reuploaded to EQM. You will see a warning message at the top of the grid that the quantities do not match. Remember, in QuoteFast configured items will show one additional line in the grid for the overall 'parent' item.
If you do not see the expanded list of child items for a configured product that means that it has not yet been processed in EQM and therefore a quantity related warning will appear:
Resolution: Reupload the project to send the updated project information to EQM or wait until the configured items process in EQM.
Price Mismatch. If you uploaded a project and any of the item(s) in QuoteFast and EQM do not match those items will be highlighted in red. Putting your cursor over the line will pop up a message with more details.
Normally for price related warnings it is due to QuoteFast having a higher default net price. Resolution: Normally the project is OK to quote since the total net price for the project is lower than the QuoteFast net price.
Release Quote to CustomerOnce you upload a project to EQM and the data has be synchronized, you can release a quote to your customer directly from QuoteFast. (NOTE: To release a quoted price within QuoteFast the customer MUST be registered for QuoteFast and have an active account. You cannot release a quote to a non-QuoteFast customer. You will have to send quoted price outside of QuoteFast.) Open the EQM data screen and click the Release Price to Customer button:
This will bring up the release price & share dialog box. It is very similar to the share project function. Since the project was uploaded to EQM using an account for an existing QuoteFast customer, your branch office and the customer name will be automatically populated. When done, click the Release Price & Share button:
Note: If the original project was not originally shared with the customer, this process will create the share. Customer selected will receive an email with the notification that you have released their quote for this QuoteFast project.
Your distributor screen will now look like this:
It displays who the project was shared and quoted with. It will also show the details of the final quoted information.
The customer will see something similar on their QuoteFast project:
Changes to a Quoted PriceIf you or the customer makes any changes to a quoted project, QuoteFast will identify that the project is being changed and therefore needs to be requoted and processed in EQM. If a customer makes a change to a quoted project they will see a warning message that changes will require a reshare to the distributor to quote again:
If a distributor makes a change to a quoted project they will see a warning message that changes will require a reupload to EQM and then requote to customer:
