Share BOM

When you've created a BOM, you can share it.

Edit Rights: (select one):

• Read: The distributor will be able to access the BOM, but will not be able to make changes.
• Edit: The distributor will be able to access and edit the BOM.

Customer's will select their Distributor. A Distributor would do the reverse and select a Customer. Once BOM Sharing has been established between two companies, that relationship cannot be changed. That is you cannot start sharing with one company and then decide to share the same to another. If you need to share with someone else, you must create a new BOM and create a new relationship.

If you initiate the Share process, you will be copied on the email notification. To include someone outside the normal list, you may manually copy email addresses into the CC field.

Within the message text, select the text "<Delete this line and insert our message here....>".

Delete and replace with a relevant message.

Once someone receives notice of a Shared BOM, they can use the project level "Search" feature to locate that project. In general, if you have the project number, it's the fastest way to filter and find the new project.
